Airtel expands their 3G Coverage in Sri Lanka to more sites. Five new 3G Sites has been added – Pelmadulla in Ratnapura, Walpola in Panadura, Hendala in Wattala, Gurudeniya in Kandy and Elpitiya in Kaluthara
In addition, 58 new 3G macro sites has been deployed month to date. A total of 458 Airtel 3G sites are now currently active
UPDATE 26 June: Now expanded to more areas of Kurunegala – Perakuma Street, Gettuwan Rd, Mawathagama, Weuda Paragahadeniya, Wehara. Galle Distict also added Ahungalla Town, Ambalangoda Town, Balapitiya Town, Induruwa 01, Karandeniya and Maha lnduruwa
UPDATED 17 July: Now expanded to Ampara District (Ampara hospital, Ampara town, Gemunupura, Nintavur, Irakkaman, Central Camp), Colombo District Puwakpitiya, Kaluthara District – Wadduwa, Gampaha District Kotugoda and Batticaloa District Arayampathy!
UPDATE 21 JULY: More added – Ampara District ( Addalichenai, Akkatapathu), Colombo ( Talapathpitiya, Habarakada, Meegoda, Wennawaththa, Piliyandala) and Ratnapura (Embilipitiya)

Bharati Airtel is not for us in Narammala (Kurunagala), & they have dumped Kuliyapitiya from their coverage map most reasontly, my guess is Airtel don’t have a back bone to come forward challenging other competitors.
