Colombo International Book Fair (CIBF) will be happening from 18 September to 27 September at BMICH, 9am to 9pm.
CIBF is Sri Lanka’s best attended and largest consumer Book Fair visited by millions of people during the nine days encompassing two weekends.
It has already established itself as a premier fair in the South Asia and is poised to be a major fair in the region with Trade Sales taking place during the last ten years with many publishers from the region and Europe participating.
CIBF is a showcase of local publishing for publishers looking for exposure.
This fair is not only a place where the visitors purchase books, there are many activities taking place throughout the day and it has become an icon of literary festival;
- Book Launches.
- Discussion sessions with writers.
- Musical programs and stage dramas.
- ‘Katapath Pawura’ a place where visitors are able to post their creative poems and verses.
- Activities for kids such as practicing and training in painting, clay work, dramas, and puppet shows.
